Still SA Angler for me. I thought it was a bit of a childs go. Dont get me wrong good on him for having a go but you dont call good fish in the send in section. "HELL FISH" That is one of the gayest things i have ever seen...

Any SA fishing mag is great imo , i just read WC for the first time and enjoyed it but i thought that month old fishing reports in the regional sections was a dud.I would rather see an actual trip summary.Old fishing reports have no value past the week that they are written.
cheers brenton

Agree with you on all counts brenton, but the benefit of those reports for the thinking angler is extraordinary and perhaps of more crediance than those published in the paper

Isn't "hellfish" a referance to the competition's sponsor?

Re: My View. 2 years, 8 months ago #51329

Yep... Its actually HellFish(tm), and that logo means you win a HellFish T-shirt...

Re: My View. 2 years, 8 months ago #51347

That is a good point Brenton, but as CK said, there is a mountain of good knowledge in the report sections, especially for beginning anglers who like and need to be shown what species can and should be targeted in specific areas

My sentiments exactly VB, but ya have to appreciate all aspects. I really do think that Port Adelaide kick the Bombers ass

And we will rip some lips, very soon. In order of......Snapper, Whiting, Flathead, Salmon.

Well said mate

Yak has done it since issue 1, and we are now splitting it with Yak doing North and myself now doing the Southern area from next issue. As with the paper reports it is an indication of what has been going on and what is expected, but fishing can be trying and things can change day to day yet alone week to week etc

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Shane is doing a great job, giving us younger guys a go and the sales are doing very well so that must say something.

some good points. personally i read both and have found wild coast more informative and sometimes more interesting. i thought the last issue of SA Angler wasnt worth buying but i did anyway...to those involved in wild coast, keep doin what your doin! its a great mag.

cheers
michael

i think that wildcoast is better bcaz SA angler has to many stories on people catching massive samson fish over and wedge island and stuff like that wen most of just want to no wats been caught on our local waters
