Penn Pursuit Braid & Line is also making a name for itself in SA & Victoria. Below is a product review by Darryl Bond from Compleat Angler Narooma.

It is available at Compleat Angler Wallaroo 08 8823 2840 or Moonta 08 8825 3400

PENN Line Review
Compleat Angler Narooma

Penn Pursuit braid is fast becoming one of the number one braids in our local area for both fresh and salt water fishing. With Narooma having such a wide range of options within a 1hour drive we needed a braid that would meet the needs off a large spread of the angling community.

With species from Kings ,bream, flatties to Cod trout and bass all being part of that accessed fisheries we found Pursuit to be a stand out performer across the board. When comparing diameters it wasn't the finest but it wasn't far off. It is the roundest braid that I have used to date which has the added benefits of less wind knots for those not experienced with braids, and lays really nice on the spool.

Knot strength is faultless and notes slipping has not been an issue with Pursuit. Durability of the line is exceptional, especially in the popular 6lb which is taken into places no line should be asked to go by lure throwing Bream fisho's.

Pursuit comes in a range of sizes from 6lb through to 80lb. A range of colours including chartreuse, green and multi which is a metered line that changes colour every ten meters, extremely popular in our area with those chasing Kingies on jigs. And last but not least a wide range of spool sizes which include 150m, 300m and 1650m [only way to buy for your next Gladstone long range trip].

Check it out next time you're in the market for some new line, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the Penn Pursuit braid.

Haven't used it myself yet but had heard its reasonably good, at least new anyway. I think its about 50 bucks/150m, so a little more than super pe. Be interesting to see opinions of those that have used it...
