The former Queensland Recreational Fishing lobby group Save Our Bay Association has reformed as ECOfishers Queensland.

Ecofishers in NSW have become a powerful voice for recreational anglers in government circles and by expanding their brand into QLD and allowing us to focus on QLD issues in the main is a major step forward for the recreational angler. We as a group then come together with our NSW brethern when National issues arise (i.e. Coral Sea) then we exponentially grow the base of supporters for fisheries and that equates to what politicians know best ? votes. Exactly what pollies fear and loathe yet need and desire in the same breath.
