TOPIC: Daly Head to Corny Point on Yorke's

Daly Head to Corny Point on Yorke's 1 year, 6 months ago #113319

Hi all.
Like a lot of you people,I love the fishing on Yorke Peninsula.
The area I have mentioned,I fished a lot, over 20 years ago though, and just thought about it again, and thinking of putting in a "few hours" there this comming Spring / Summer.
I'm not after secret spots or tecniques,as I've "been around" and have a few of my own tricks up my sleeve.
These areas used to produce good mulloway (taboo subject!) and the sharks and rays I love to chase. Are these places still produtive?
Appreciate any thoughts.
Cheers in advance.

yeer, there still are mulloway around there. have to find the right beach tho, if i was you id be trying in the innes natinal park.
and theres bulk sharks and rays around most of the beaches down that way.

Any more questions just ask.

yeah still the odd mulloway-its the usual tale of needing to be in the right place at the right time though-gone are the days of bung out a line and catch a jewie Rays and shark are everywhere. One day if u have a few spare minutes on a balmy summers night check out the beach at Wool Bay-its literally crawling with them

There's still plenty of fish along that stretch of coast. A group of mates caught 3 mulloway in one night last summer. I didn't go on that trip though. I had to choose between two trips and I went on the other one, caught nothing all weekend!

gday guys,

yeah as said there are still plenty of gd catches that come from down the bottom end. but everything has to fall together at the same time.
as always moon, weather, tides, bait and being in the right place at the right time.

last season a local from corny point caught 18 mullies in one night. so if u do ur research and put in the hours u will be rewarded.

ill be down there a fair bit once i get my p's and it starts to warm up a bit

cheers
