Hi all, headed to a Northern SAFWAA Club Day today.

Had a ball as usual. Caught a few callop.

My son gave up on flicking lures for a while, so he put out 2 bait rods. One rod went off, and while he was fighting this fish, his other rod screamed off.

After landing his double header or Catfish and turtle.

Attention was paid to his other rod. was great to see a Murray Cod on the end. With the normal photos, measuring, and congrats he was let go to fight another day. I can tell you that there were a few envious fishers there watching all this. Thanks Paul for the help as i was on the other side of the dam. The cod went 63cm, and as you can tell Riley was one happy camper indeed.



Also his 40cm catty.



Well done to Damien who took away first prize. Only beat me by 2cm.

Lovely cod!

We fished the same dam last night and again this morning for a total of 3 Cod, 14 Callop, 2 Silver Perch and 4 Catfish. Riley got his second Cod this morning, 60cm(same fish as last night). Last night i got a 70cm Cod and a 60cm Cod. The 70cm Cod was caught on worms using a size 12 longshank hook!!! OMG The 60cm one was caught on wood grubs both days.
