That looks beaut!

How did you go about the construction of the camp oven? I love the idea of that, looks like a fantastic and efficient way of cooking whilst camping.

Good work
Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

If your search for knowledge surrounds the secrets of the holy camp oven, you'll have to attend one of Ricks weekenders for a complete tutorial and spiritual awakening.

This weekend workshop concludes with the great camp oven cook-off, where exponents of the art travel from miles around to compete in what can only be described as...........THE MEATFEST FROM MANTOWN!
Fishing is a delusion entirely surrounded by liars in old clothes!

I met a bloke travelling a couple of years ago who proudly showed me his choofer. a 9kg safely de-gassed gas bottle cut and drilled to make a cooker which holds a 10" camp oven perfectly.

at least 6 or more have been replicated since my camping buddies have seen it in action.

a few here

versatility, cooking over coals

there is plenty of info on camp oven cooking here.

Smart man, beats trying to get the oven on the coals of a dirty big fire and getting your eyebrows singed off in the process, everyone wants to put more wood on when your cooking as well.
