Actually went fishing today almost a year since buying my boat.

As some of you will know my outboard catastrophically died.

This week my brand new second hand outbaord went on.

Today after a shakey start we all got on the water and had a short 1 hour trial.

Mind you after yesterdays swearing it is a surprise we got anywhere. Never heard of a lanyard switch before! Have now!

Very good news!

Can I ask what you ended up getting?
Fishing is a delusion entirely surrounded by liars in old clothes!

I know a guy on this site that got towed in, cause he couldn't get the outboard started.
Turn out that a kid on board, playing with the controls, pulled the lanyard switch.

Good to hear u are back on the water, also as Ranger asked, what did u get fitted.

I bought a 2003 Mercrury 90 hp

Saltwater Series.

2 stroke no EFI

Loooks in good nic and the owner obviously looks after his boat/motor.

I think it was a fair price for the owner and me.

Proof is on he pudding though especially since my 8K boat has almost doubled in price ... grrrrr

my dad did that...got towed in from 5kms out, got to the ramp, and the boat that towed him went back out.
dad spotted the lanyard out, and plugged it back in, and then went back fishing again....
