Adding a picture to a forum post
There are two available options available when adding images to your posts. Step by step details are outlined below.
There is a limitation in place on how big a file can be to successfully upload it to the site, however, the smaller the image the better. When a page is loaded, the images are downloaded to your computers temporary Internet file resulting in your bandwidth being consumed. Multiple visits to that page may or may not rersult in the image being downloaded again depending on your cache settings. The smaller the image, the smaller the download and the quicker the page load time. Information on resizing images is located after the step by step instructions.
Embedding using third party image host
- Select the IMG link button just above the text area.

- Paste or insert the link provided from the image service you use within the link box.

- Click 'Insert' to include the link code within your message. This can be moved to any location in your message prior to submitting.
- Alternatively, you can use the [IMG] [/IMG] tags by placing your link like this - [IMG]http://www.address-here.com[/IMG].
- Submit your post.
Uploading to the site
- Below the message area, within the 'Attachments' box click 'Add File'

- From the pop up file dialog, please select the image you wish to upload.
- Click on 'Insert' to have that image placed within your post. The code that is placed within the message can be moved to any where within the message. If you do not want to have the image loaded within the message and would prefer a thumbnail at the bottom of the post, you do not need to do anything.

- Submit your post
Please Note: There is a size limit imposed on images that are uploaded to the site. This is currently set at 500Kb. Images can be resized using many different programs or web based tools. Bellow is a selection of some of the many tools available. A Google search will offer many more options.
