



Elliston
Some good catches of trevally come from the rocks at Salmon Point. The jetty also had trevally, squid and tommies. Boaties got on to good catches of whiting and land based anglers got some just legal size whiting from the beaches.
Lock’s Well
Some good size salmon were reported from Locks earlier in the week.
Sheringa
A few salmon were caught from the surf beaches while at First Beach, whiting tommies, trevally and salmon trout was the main catch.
Almonta/Gunyah Beach
Both beaches had salmon from about 1 to 4 kg. Some anglers did better by walking the beaches and casting lures to find the fish.
Farm Beach
Plenty of whiting are coming from this area from in shallow to around 40 feet of water. Most are around 30 to 34cm in length.
Coffin Bay
The bays fished well for tommies, snook and plump salmon trout ranging in size from ½ to 1 kg. There has also been some snapper taken recently in the bays and channel.
Port Lincoln
Salmon schools are moving throughout Boston Bay ranging in size from half a kilo to 2 kilo’s. Just in time for our summer visitor’s, anglers are seeing more salmon coming in to the main wharf with good eating size on the bite most days. Besides the salmon there are some mackerel and tommies on the main wharf and the other local jetties have tommies, snook and squid. A few whiting, squid, gar and tommies came from the Lincoln National Park coastline.
Port Neill
Some yellowfin whiting were caught off the beaches and the odd rugger snapper from the rocks. The jetty and breakwater fished very well for garfish in the mornings, tommies and squid, and snook at night. Boaties worked hard for some big whiting and there were a few snapper reported from 38 to 70 cm.
