Elliston

Shore and boat anglers are getting whiting, offshore there are nannygai and snapper.

Tommies, mullet and squid are in Waterloo Bay and off the jetty.

Lock’s Well

Salmon catches have been consistent with some plenty of big fish being taken.

Sheringa

Tommies and mullet are coming from both beaches, the first beach has seen some large King George coming in and on the salmon beach some salmon are up to the 10lb mark.

Convention Beach

Still good catches of salmon over the Easter weekend with the bonus of a few flathead.

Almonta/Gunyah Beach

Salmon ranging to 3 kilo have been caught this week, some large tommies and mullet have also been caught. Some of the biggest schools for some time have been seen moving along the beaches.

Coffin Bay

Mixed bags of garfish, salmon trout and a few whiting have been coming in from both the rocks and boats. As usual with this time of the year a few large snapper have been caught in the bays.

Port Lincoln

Med to large tommies and salmon trout of the main wharf; and there are numbers of snook in front of the caravan park, town jetty, and along the north shore.

Some nice catches of yellowfin had been landed at North Shields from the shore and from the jetty.

For King George whiting,  good catches have been caught at Taylors Landing, Carcase Rock and the Lumps, closer to home around Boston Island, Spalding Cove, Tulka and the Monument.

There are large snook, medium size trevally, lots of tommies and whiting at Dangerous Reef and Thistle Island.

Along north shore squid, tommies, salmon trout and a few whiting and blue swimmer crabs.

Around Williams and West Point vessels are getting nannygai and a few snapper and morwong.

At Louth bay there is a variety mixed bags with tommies, garfish and squid; there are still some snapper being caught.

Marina has snook and tommies at night, during the day a few trevally and salmon trout.

Although quite a few salmon have been taken along the south coast, fishing has generally been better in the rougher weather.

Grantham island area has produced a few whiting and squid.

Tumby Bay

Squid and tommies from the jetty and on occasion a few salmon.

Port Neill

Yellowfin whiting on the northern beaches.

The jetty has squid and tommies; snook are on most grounds.

Arno Bay

Big snapper are being caught out wide when anglers can get them past the sharks. On the inshore gropunds there are plenty of whiting and snook.

Port Lincoln Anglers Club

Next outing will be held on Sunday May 1st; venue will be Farm Beach. Likely species being caught will include whiting, garfish, salmon trout, trevally flathead and tommies.
