An area for all the members and potential members of the Lower Murray Lure Fishing Club. I will be using this to provide updates of upcoming comps and post results of past comps.

LOWER MURRAY LURE FISHING CLUB

TRIAL 2 - SUNDAY 16th AUGUST 2009 - SWAN REACH

1. Must have digital camera or mobile phone with Bluetooth to take photos. Photos will be downloaded to a laptop at end of fishing time and results calculated on the spot.
2. Entrants will be provided with a brag mat by fisheries - All fish must be measured on brag mat - entrants will be provided with an identifier which must be in the photo with the fish.
3. Must have ALL equipment as per SA marine regulations - life jackets, bailing bucket, etc. NO other equipment restrictions.
4. Callop (Golden Perch) Only - only legal sized fish count (i.e. 33cm+). Can enter as many as you can catch in the time restraints.
5. Fishing Times - Fishing starts at 8.30am - must be back at launching spot by 2.30pm - hand in camera and results will be tallied while boats are retrieved.
6. MAXIMUM 2 fishermen per boat - measured fish count to both anglers - both will receive the same points towards AOY. If fishing with kids, 1 adult plus kids - as many kids as allowed in your sized boat - must be within legal restrictions. 1 rod each at a time.
7. Angler of Year Points - 10 points for entry, 1 bonus point per cm of legal sized Callop photographed.
8. Lure fishing only - casting, trolling and jigging all allowed.
9. OPTIONAL - $20 per boat into a kitty for the FISHERMAN'S PARADISE BIG FISH for the comp - split between 3 biggest Callop for each comp plus one mystery prize. The holder of the biggest fish will also take home the Biggest Fish Cap.
10. No charge to enter.
11. No limitations on fishing area - as long as you are back at the measuring station by end of fishing time - must start with boat in the water though.
12. Prizes - depending on availability. MINIMUM - Prizes for top 3 placed boats at each comp, as well as mystery prize.
13. Catch & Release encouraged but not mandatory. If you want to take a feed feel free.
14. All boats start from marshalling point at the same time.

BBQ provided by the committee of Strike & Hook during the presentations (20 competitors min required for BBQ).
