It is frustrating at first and unfortunately you have to work at it and build up some knowledge.
It's not just where but how - what time of year and what part of the tide.

Old Salty has made a good point. How far do you want to go. That is a good time for fishing, but the down fall is November is the month of the snapper ban, so taking this into consideration it may limit your choices.
