is ardrossan reasonably safe?

maybe try and take it for a few runs on the salt before you do any "big" trips mate. Build up some knowledge of your boats capabilities and limits etc .

Thats a LOT of flies JW

I know very little about them, but they look to be too large to be freshwater models

Graet Pics Shhauno. Im sure everyone will like working all that out and get a kick out of it too.

CK's quesations got me interested too, as I sometime see similar things on my raymarine. I can only think its maybe an overhang/ledge or cave, or maybe just some harder/more dense rock embedded in the channels side

AFF- is that a serious Q,

That was a serious Q Shauno. I opened that pic in another screen, and those blue dots, when enlarged , appeared to be fish symbols, making me think your sounder maybe let you know how far back the fish were/are from your stern

With technology nowadays I never know what to expect !

Re the screen picture Shauno.

Are they two fish symbols in the blue color sitting behind the boat outline on the left screen

AFF I was just thinking that...

Seaford area has a heap from the last blow would the worms be attracted to any seaweed or just established beds ??

Thats a good point. maybe they let nature break the weed down for a while , making it better food/ shelter or whatever it is they find attractive, so an established area may be better .
Personally Im enjoying having a metal roof over my head and having a T Bone for Tea
