Quick report as I have not been well.
YORKES
Plenty of whiting have been taken from Port Hughes, Port Vic, Hardwick and west of Turton. On the other side Edithburgh has been doing well out north of the island and out from the swimming pool. Stansbury is still doing well on the whiting out from the cemetery ground along with squid and squid are also inside the spit. Tommies are in good numbers and are of good size around Port Hughes, Port Vic and Turton. We hit a school of salmon out from Port Vic near deadmans last weekend which was good fun. Snapper are in small pods out from Ardrossan and they are good size fish there is also some further down between Black Point and Port Vincent. Squid are coming from Wallaroo, Port Hughes and Port Vic. Snook are really firing in areas around Port Vic, Port Hughes and Hardwick. Kings are still doing well at Port Augusta with a lot of big fish being lost.
There is still a big aggressive white there so be careful.
SOUTH
Probably with the northerlies coming in Saturday best place to be is south on the beaches. Waitpinga is doing well on salmon, Tommies at Second Valley and Rapid bay and Salt Creek have some nice mulloway coming through.
FAR WEST
Had a couple of reports out that way this week with some guys I know did OK from Jerries (Bob's Kitchen) with fish upto 40 pound. This will only improve in the coming month. The beaches over there have changed a bit with some big gutters formed by the last big blow.
ON THE BIG NEWS FRONT
I have had contact with a person which is keen to restart Dorsal Fin Shop. So the question is do you want it at the same location or another? If he goes ahead I will be helping him get things going to ensure it still has the best bait and is very customer orientated. He has been in the retail business for a long time and is also an avid fisherman so your input would be appreciated. More on this later.
