just cruising fishing charters

Several members have had bad experiences redeeming scoopon vouchers.$80 for a 4 hour fishing trip is good value but it will only be local for small species. Would you be happy with a trip out catching only gar or squid? My main concern would be the time to redeem the voucher.Valid from 16 March 2012 to 31 July 2012 AND already 400 soldMost of the issues with scoopons are to do with overselling and inability to redeem vouchers at a convenient date before they expire. Do a google search and you will find many unhappy customers. If you do buy, I would be on the phone very quickly to lock in a date

I got a charter (scoopon) voucher for Just Cruising for Xmas, and managed to get out a couple of weeks ago. Overall, the charter wasn't bad. He definately put us onto a few spots that held fish - there were enough KGW and rugger snapper (all u/s) coming over the side to keep everyone on board interested. He didn't do an awful lot for those fishing, and the terminal tackle was as cheap as it comes. Rod and reels OK. I'm pretty fussy about paying for fishing charters and was pretty sceptical about this one. However, its a really good boat, you don't travel far, and he does put you onto the drops. If I was going with him again I'd take my own gear, including hooks. Overall I think this charter is more designed for people that have not done a lot of fishing - but it wasn't bad either. In fact I really enjoyed the 4 hours that I was out.

I would recommend strongly against wasting your money on it. He doesn't take you out at times when the fish are biting because he says he's "too old" and then he only takes you off the coast a few hundred meters. Two or three poeple (of our group of 10) caught something but nothing larger than your hand.He tried to convince us that that was a pretty good day's fishing. Seemed like a bit of a scam for people who don't know their fishing.Pay a little bit more somewhere else and actually go fishing.

Hi all, Been looking for a bday pressie for my dad and came across this scoopon for just cruising fishing charters http://www.scoopon.com.au/adelaide?utm_source=cotd&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=side. Does anyone have any experience with this charter company?Kind regards

Very boring experience.

There were 9 of us crammed into a 3m x 3m area trying to fish and not get in each others way.

Crossed lines a few times.

Would only go about 1 km offshore in the 4 hours we were out there.

It’s like he didn’t want to waste any fuel.

We caught 1 garfish & 2 baby sand whiting amongst 9 of us.

If we went 10km offshore we may have caught more.

I will never fish off Adelaide shores again.
