  • Weather is again good for the weekend and with the tides coming good all looks good.

METRO
The broadway is showing signs of some good ruggers showing up. The bag ground and Grange is doing well late afternoons on the whiting. While pletty of garfish size have varied but there should be some good catches around. Tommies have moved in but size is a problem. Nice size for snapper but not quite right for the smoker. You have to work through the small ones. Snook have come in to spawn so trawl in waters of 2.5 - 3 metres of water for best results. Squid are still in good numbers. Port river saw salmon trout and a few mullet in the channels. Mulloway have been thin. West Lakes have seen some big bream mainly in the southern area.

YORKE PENINSULA
Port Hughes has good whiting around Kemps and some nice gar are coming from the light. Snook numbers have increased north of Moonta point. Squid are still on Coopers. Port Vic has whiting, Snook and squid. Most fish are north of Beatrice. Point Turton has good size whiting around the drains and soutter. Snapper are now showing up out wide on the banks. Marion Bay has squid and a few tommies along with Stenhouse. Dolphin beach has some salmon and tommies. Edithburgh has been doing well on squid, gar and tommies of late. Crabs have shown up around Stansbury, Sheok and James Well, fish for them in 5-6 metres of water for better results. Port Broughton has been doing well on squid and crabs. Wallaroo jetty is doing well but the size of crabs have been small so you have to work through the small ones.

FRESHWATER
The river is firing at the moment with good size callop. from Manuum right through to Mildura have been doing very well. Shrimp or night crawlers have been the best bait.
