The weekend is up and down with Saturday looking breezy but Sunday looking great wind wise.

METRO
There is still some whiting around off West Beach and North near the Black Pole and Silt grounds. Semaphore was a bit quiet but there are some fish out from Bower Road. Squid are still doing OK out from West Beach and north of Brighton. Crabs have made a pleasant surprise arrival with some good catches coming from the Black Pole, Silt Grounds, Wonga Shoals and even around the West Beach area. Some nice tommies are starting to move in and one of the best places to get nice tommies was the Grange jetty and it is worth a try. Snapper have been coming from the northern grounds up towards the blocks and Goannas. Some smaller fish have been caught out from Glenelg. Port river is still doing well on the salmon trout along with St Kilda. Bream have been biting well in the upper reaches of the river right up to the outlet gates. West Lakes is slowly improving with some nice bream coming from near the bridges and also some school mulloway. Garfish are just starting to filter in with some being caught out from Largs along with a few crabs there as well. The northern beaches have some nice yellowfin whiting from Port Gawler to Thompsons with some smaller fish just starting to filter in to the Largs Bay beaches.

YORKE PENINSULA
Whiting are still in good numbers and there is no sign of them disappearing just yet. We fished Port Vic last weekend and there was plenty of fish around (Pitty about the weather). Other places doing well are Port Hughes, Wallaroo, Port Hughes, Balgowan, Hardwick Bay, Turton out from Soutter, Coobowie oyster leases, Stansbury south of spit, North of Ardrossan with a few fish out from Port Vincent. Snook have really moved in to Wallaroo, Port Hughes, Port Vic and out from Port Rickaby. Squid numbers have slowed in some areas but there is still some nice catches coming from Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Pine Point, Edithburgh, Turton and Port Hughes. Snapper are doing well in the upper Spencer from Broughton across to Whyalla. Smaller fish are coming from the shipping channel out from Hughes, 40km mark out from Balgowan, The reef and ledges out from Port Vic, Edithburgh and the outer banks. Kingfish are still up at Port Augusta along with some nice crabs. Crabs have moved into Port Hughes and Port Vic but not in big numbers as yet.

SOUTH
Salt Creek has some salmon and still a few mulloway is being caught when the weed is not thick. Waitpinga has salmon trout, Rapid Bay has Tommies and squid, Cape Jervis has tommies and some salmon on the western beach. Coorong has been doing well on the soapies along with mullet and a few salmon trout. The mouth will also be worth a try for mulloway and with the amount of water coming out of the mouth there may be some sharks to catch.

FRESHWATER
Not a lot of news from the river other than it is moving pretty quick which is good news. The back waters around Chambers creek are starting to see some yabbies and this should be the same in other backwater creeks elsewhere. Punyelroo has some yabbies coming from the other side and backwater, Mannum has some callop north of the marina and south of Wellington has yabbies.
