penthrox 0
Hi,I have a friend of mine who has just picked up some old fishing reels. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them. Both are made of wood and look like an alvey. The first is a little bigger and has the name 'Bartleets' and 'Made In England" stamped into the metal. The second has no markings on it at all!http://i654.photobucket.com/albums/uu265/penthrox/DSC00350.jpghttp://i654.photobucket.com/albums/uu265/penthrox/DSC00351.jpghttp://i654.photobucket.com/albums/uu265/penthrox/DSC00352.jpgThanks guys for any info! Shark_Fisho 1
The reels are English Nottinghams, made in the 1930s. Made by Milwood Bartleet and sons in Redditch, England. They were availble by quite a few Australian Tackle shops. In that condition not worth a great deal, up to $100 each. Look great on display
