shaneomack05 0 Posted June 21, 2011 Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 how ya doin fisho's?i have an old school 12 ft butterworth rod and i'm not the best at using such a long rod, so i was wondering if i should shorten the rod by chopping some of the butt off, or should i keep it in its original condition and just buy a 10 ft rod? it needs new guides for starters. they are all cracked and rooted.cheers shane Quote Link to post Share on other sites

rocknev 2 Posted June 21, 2011 Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 agrred...leave it alone.. ive got an old butterworth 2 piece in 12ft lentgh...its my loner rod if anybody doenst have a rod... i just snyderglas, like most of my brothers, cept for one, whos a butterworth user... they almost identical though, and some of the new stuff just doesnt cut it with the old rods sadly Quote Link to post Share on other sites
