Just1More 0
G'day chapsMy question regarding these two reels is to do with the retrieve ratio.freams 4000 - 4.8:1ballistic 4000 - 6.2:1Will be going on a 9ft surf cast rod for casting metals for salmon, just curious as to witch reel would be more suited to this type of fishing? Is the retrive that important to the lure?Or given that there other wise identical should i just pick a colour and fish?thanx Mark. southie THE BANGA 2,304
if you want to be throwing salmon lures you would want an high ratio reel for extra wind cranking etc... this is what i prefer anyway.... so its not as much effort urhookedfish and Just1More
Ugly4Life 41
The red one. It'll make you're lure go faster! Just1More
mason crossman 0
i have a freams 2000 its a fantastic reel which i use for bream, but for metals for salmon i would recomend the ballistic because of the higher gear ratio Just1More
