Keen as 0
Thanks tony for putting this up.i would love to tie this imitation, but the only thing i have is the black sharpie marker, and i dont think that even works.check out the safwaa forum, some cool flies are being tied by a member, using cheap materials, under the heading tight a** flies, nothing to fancy, but definately fish catchers. Softy 2,991
So much weird-old school stuff comes up on Fieldandstream, but always interesting.
fishnuts 55
That would work when the bream are hunting terrestrials around overhanging trees. Might even rustle up a few Cod Good find Tony.Cheers Dazz
tonyb 1,017
What sort of size hook would you tie the Booby on Dazz, for our local Bream?
fishnuts 55
Tony you could use a Gamakatsu B1Os, nice wide gape, thin strong wire and sharp as all hell.Besides that just a simple hook like a Gamakatsu SS15, once again light strong wire but just a normal J hook, sharp as hell aswell.Cheers Dazz
tonyb 1,017
Thanks for that dazz and I assume these patterns are stainless for the salt mate?
fishnuts 55
Thanks for that dazz and I assume these patterns are stainless for the salt mate?No mate the B10s aren't but all I do is give them a rinse in freshwater after use and they stay in good nick.Cheers Dazz
