carpfishingsa 0
hi i was after a collapsible landing net for all occasions as mine snapped in two the other day. Any recommendations on a decent but not too expensive landing net, collapsible if possible.
piratepom 3,197
I opened my collapsible net this morning in the anticipation of some fishy success in a quick LB flick before work, and it was cactus I've had it for a few years and it was cheap, but can't remember where it came from. I'll be looking for a replacement tonight and will let you know if I find a decent buy.
Poppa Snake 1,399
"super G" bought me a Mokijo collapsible extendable net from Anaconda. They are 30 something dollars but she got it on half price sale. Don't know quality as I haven't had to use it yet.
macmanluke 16
Got a Javis walker "environet" for around $20 from tackle world, pretty good imo!
archerfish 685
Sounds like the "collapsible" nets are doing their work admirably...
breambo25 1
Got a Javis walker "environet" for around $20 from tackle world' date=' pretty good imo![/quote']My uncle uses an environment on his boat too. They are much better for the fish's health because they don't destroy the slime coating or the eyes or anything like that. I think they cost a bit more than a regular mesh net, however when fishing catch and release theyre vitally important.
afishyfish 4
The last one I bought had a fold up sytem that worked quite well, but they dont like much strain on them at all, and collapse when u dont want them too :pinch:  Prob the best Ive had was $10 bux from K-Mart. The frame and hadle is all aluminim about 1.5m long.Look for the ones with the green nylon mesh and triangular mouth Sounds like the "collapsible" nets are doing their work admirably... yep unfortunateley they do.Just when the deabate over reel quality died off a bit, the net topic came up and took its place Hopefully this wont turn into a I spend $100 on my netsVSI spend $10 on my netsArgument/ Debate/ Verbal punch-up
samboman 319
the berkley silicon nets are cheap and are easy on the fish... and your lure doesnt get caught in the net like they can in the enviro nets.... i have an enviro net good but hate trying to get the lures out everytime Sambo afishyfish
MarsOne 137
I bought a shrimp net - around 2 foot square, with a handle around a metre. Fine mesh, which when wet sees fish released in great nick. Only ever use a net when I'm bait fishing, so not real bothered by trebles etc get caught in it. It was $10-20 from gotone afishyfish
