Langley 30
Hi all went out on the neighbors boat at about 10:30 yesterday morning and launched from osullivans and headed out by about eleven we had our first fish we couldn't work out if it was a crab or a bit of reef but when it came up it was a gummy shark about 40 cm and it was all wrapped up in the line by the time we released it another line was getting bites and hooked it up and pulled it up a tiny whiting foul Hooked nothing. For another half hour. So we moved round and I hooked up to an even more dead weight pulled it up and a massive gummy shark was attached we estimate at least 70cm but no photos coz the net was wedged in between the sides so we couldn't get we headed in about 5:30 with not much success loaded the boat and drove off stopped at the bottleo to find the winch had snapped and the boat had jumped off the rollersCheers langley

Lord Fisher 3
I think we thought they were 7 gills as there are heaps off o'sullies drops ATM and you said they were a dead weight, as at that size they don't do much and are dead weights! And gummies of that size especially the 70cm one usually fight better and you would at least no you've got a fish on rather than reef or just a dead weight! Weird ! Big ones go hard!
