We went on a specific Callamari Charter the other day ... no wasting time on snaps, no whiting drops etc. The weather was near perfect with little breeze and the swell was right down. Kangaroo Island was looking awesome. It was pretty quiet for the first 2 hrs and things were looking bad, not a single touch. My son 'Ashley' was getting fidgetty. We however stuck to our guns and things started to fire up. By lunch we had about 40kgs in the bin with many over the 2kg mark. It's amazing - for those who haven't done it before as a 2kg plus squid can take 2 or 3 minutes to get in ... there is no skull dragging in and when they want to pump - let 'em go for it. Ash was loving it - as he always does.By the end of the day each us on the charter had our bag limit and over 15kgs each of beautiful Callamari. What a terrific day. size=336http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/R64dsNIQ__Ash_Callamari___web.jpg[/img] size=366http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/eo46YGup__Pm_Callamari___web.jpg[/img] size=448http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/HrcZVv2Y__Squid_Bin1___web.jpg[/img] size=448http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/Stu8laTk__Secret_Squid_Platform___web.jpg[/img]
