yorke_angler 0
Hey guys, myself and a mate are booked in to stay at wallaroo thursday and friday night but I just checked the forecast on willys and it looks like it'll be raining and possible storms.. but winds look almost calm (not very accurate i know) :-( would you still go? snapper should be on the chew after the storm, but we'll be mainly going for crabs/squid, and possibly gar off the jetty
MarsOne 137
if wind is good, swell is low and tides are right, never let a bit of rain stop you! What % of the human body is water again??
Dylbaa 174
I'd go! You never know, that change in air pressure from the storm could turn on the hottest fishing! It could also work the other way but I'd be very confident in landing a snapper during this!
ShoreJigger 171
BOM is showing 0.5 swell for Thursday and max 0.8 on Friday and no rain likely up there for Thursday and Friday.
Knackers 700
Looks pretty good to me
urhookedfish 12
Yeah I would be going for sure. Specially if your targetting reds. Make sure you take an extra block of pillies just to get a cube trail going.
yorke_angler 0
cheers guys, basically confirmed what I was thinking. was more worried about holding a rod if theres lightning around lol..I have found willy weather to be wrong before so I think we'll just go for it. Stay tuned for the report! urhookedfish
urhookedfish 12
Ive fished in some pretty radical storms on jetties and never had a problem. or atleast I dont recall ever having been struck by lightning. LOL :woohoo: :woohoo: Not to say you wont be the first though lol.
CallopHunter 1
Personally I am not too much of a fan of a well done Yorke Angler with chips! But TBH you'll be be right, the chances are extremely unlikely even is a thunderstorm occurred.
Kayak Noob 76
I've always found willyweather to be really inaccurate. Bureau of Meteorolgy is the most accurate site around and they say showers for thursday and thats about it. Definately go for sure!
