Sykes121 2
Hey guys, Have heard through friends that the end of the jetty,(where the ship can dock) has been closed off to the public. Is this true? Will this ruin the fishing for bigger game, such as snapper?
Compleat Angler 72
Yes the end of the Wallaroo Jetty is closed at this time. There have been Snapper caught from the area near the gates since the closure of the end. Kuerschie and trihull
southie THE BANGA 2,304
there is plenty of other spots around the area that hold snapper and you wont be hassled by the hoards of jetty goers.. Pop in to the local tackle stores down there and im sure they will be able to help you out

yorke_angler 0
mate that fb page looks dodgy as (nice pics tho!), but the guy posted a photo fishing right next to the pylons from a boat! obviously doesn't give a crap about rules, or anyone else using the jetty there is a 4-5m quintrex who frequently does the same, and constantly gets abused by people on the jetty.. why invest in a boat if you want to fish near jetties? southie THE BANGA 2,304
Happens all the time mate... once a bloke was fishing the end on his boat and one of the blokes forgot to wind all lines in. Got caught around the prop lol and couldnt start it the current took them back into the jetty lol we were pissing ourselves laughing. They gave us every word under the sun. Ill See what i can find out when i ring up for my roster for the weekend.
