newtontoney 57
has anyone snapped a rod tip and had it repaired ? by snapping the tip does it weaken the rest of the rod blank in any way ? cheers
Piranha 76
As long as theres no cracks running down the blank it will be fine, level the broken tip and remove any rough edges, heat your tip guide with a lighter and the old tip should pull out , then just glue it back onto the blank 4THALOVE

adamibinfishin 224
Hi bud,Several years ago I broke the tip off a much loved saltiga 68s and thought the rod was ruined. All we done was make sure the spacings were even and put a end guide on and would you believe the rod is better than it was before the damage. These rods are quite soft and if anything it made the rod better than before from the tipping, haha. Goodluck with it,it may become your new favourite, cheers
