Shimano ifish nano VS. shimano t-curve

hey guys my mate is looking at buying either a shimano ifish nano combo 2-4kg or the shimano tcurve revolution inshore 6102!he wants to know whether or not these are good and reliable and if there worth it he wants some information before he buys one! Cheers langley

I have 4 t-curves now in my opinion best bang for buck rods going around HSVLS19 caught a small bronzie on his inshore 2-4kg curve and handled it a piece of piss cant comment on the Nano's but ya mate wont be disappointed if he getz a curve bud cheers 4THA

the t-curves are really good rods. can't go wrong. popular and reliable.don't know about the ifish nano's as I haven't seen one, but the catana nano's are great.

I personally have never liked Shimano rods, for my money Daiwas are heaps nicer, the Generation Black series is a great bang for buck lineup of rods.

Yep, plankton hit the nail on the head! IMO the tcurve is to sloppy really. I owned a 1-3kg for a year before loosing it over the side, and then replaced it with a gen black. Gen black is so much crisper and responsive! Also, the gen black uses very high quality blanks equal to some of daiwas $350 rods.What is he using it for?

Go the Nano!!! Bought one to replace my 2-4kg raider after she went snap. Better feel, stronger, lighter, better casts etc.I've had a tcurve in the same weight class, and would go the nano over and over. Will probably convert all my rods to the shimano nano, even if it does have PW name on it

Ok thankyou guys I will probably get the diawa gen black pinster (2-5 kg) I'll be using it in estuaries and off jetties so this should be perfect. I'll be pairing it with a shimano Sahara to start with until I save up for something better like freams or something. What is the best size reel to go with this rod?

The 2500 will be perfect. Are you getting it from overseas? I didn't think the Sahara was available here.

Nah I'm getting it from bcf as it's all that I can really afford ATM but I will probably upgrade to something like a stradic after a while. So 2500 shimano Sahara it is.
