Goldman 0
Hi all.Lately,I've been fishing lower Yorkes beaches, chasing small bronzies.Got a couple of legal mullies as a bonus, and of course, tangle with the big rays.I really only want to use nylon leaders.........normally 80lb,but want to find the "best abrasion resistance" I can.Don't really mind getting "smashed up" by a big ray,and "bite offs" are par for the course when shark fishing with mono...........just don't like the "sickening feeling" of winding in a slack line after a bit of a tussle, that has just rubbed through Currently use Schneider 80lb......looking for "advances".Cheers. avidanglr1 97
Ever tried upping the poundage.. 120pd but with a supple nylon instead of abrasion resistent..just an idea ...never tested it mysrlf but maybe an option...cheers avids Goldman

Goldman 0
Hi all. No,haven't tried Black Magic, but Jinkai I've tried many years ago,and wasn't that impressed......maybe things have changed though.Didn't really want to increase the breaking stain, but I will look into diameters of the lines and compare them,as the Schnieder seems quite thick for it's designated rating. Will do some searching. Thanks guy's
storm boy 17
Try Penn 10X leader material if you want a tough leader. Not exactly invisible as it is pretty much white in colour, but seems to be very abrasion resistant.Cheers!SB Goldman
chuckemback 0
Schneider suits what you are using it for, it tolerates that type of punishment the most. The other brands are worse for abrasions as their properties dont stand up to the test of reefs and rocks. IMO softer leaders cut easier once minimally frayed.Try upping the Schneider maybe 100lb Good luck Goldman
macca02 0
I'd up the Schneider (schneider has very good abrasive resistance, alot of people use it for Pig fishing in NSW) or go with some Fluorocarbon. Supposedly has better abrasion resistance than monofilament Goldman
