codez 0
Surely you could get away with a bigger stronger hook like a 1/0 or 2/0, if not, I think the Squidgy Finnese heads have a decently thick shank and come in something around 1/8th. Different keeper system though.Better luck next time mate, guessing your not in SA catching Trevs and Queenies? fridge
pauly s 426
I've stopped using the smaller TTs for the same reason. Using the nitro 1/6 - 1/8 in 1/0 and 2/0 never let me down fridge
codez 0
Anyone ever had issues with the Nitro heads being mis-shaped/bad mould? Its happened to me 3 times with the 1/8th heads and caused them to swim majorly to one side.. switched to TT and Squidgy heads now and never had the same problem
brenton 637
Be very surprised if a 1/0H or even 1H would straighten especially on 2kg braid,tt are better than nitros imothere are some piss weak TTs but their called something else fridge
Station49 33
Size 1 tournament jigs are made with 'fine wire' hooks... so realistically they are designed for bream and trout fishing. This is your problem straight up. Size 1 is probably also a bit small for queenfish and golden trevally anyway.I'd upgrade to 2/0 for a start, and try out the TT headlocks jigs, they are pretty tough. Have had no issues with snapper and mulloway in a range of sizes of jigheads from the range. Another option in the TT range would be the "extremem HEad hunter" jigheads which are made with tougher hooks. eg 2/0XH as the size code.the headhunter jigs are better value for money also IMO. fridge
