Alexsfishin1 781
I'll be heading to North Haven sometime this holidays and I was wondering if anyone has caught mullies in the marina? I know there has to be a few but just wondering if anyone has had luck with em? I'll be going for gar, st, squid and bream, I will be using live st in the marina for mullies! I could just be the first one to find out? lol So far the mullies have gotten me hooked Cheers.Alex. trihull

Underpants 1,543
Nup but it certainly looks like a possibility there. Id gather it is probably a night time scenario tho. Im sure you will give it a solid attempt and keep us all posted. Damn you have too much time.... Alexsfishin1
Damo67 6
Just wondering, i guess your allowed to fish inside the marina? and where?. Obviously you would need to look out for boats.
Booma 1,362
Pretty sure all the rock walls around the marina are accessible from small carparks about the place........Never heard of a Mully there though to be honest, have heard of big flatties in there Alexsfishin1
newtontoney 57
have witnessed some kind of predatory fish smashing up bait fish in that marina at night just before heading out on a boat (not huge fish tho)....mullies was what we came to the assumption they were. iv never fished there tho Alexsfishin1
Cal 480
G"day Alex,a good starting point is the northern breakwall, and fish in fairly close to the rocks,my brother got a nice legal there once and i have caught a schoolie there plus seen 2 others caught, but yeah not too far out as the fish hunt along the structure. If you use lightly weighted whitebait other species around there are ST,Bream and some nice Snook at times. cheers Alexsfishin1 and Ale

mattyboy21 2
Are there squid in the marina?
urhookedfish 12
Young star in the making. Gee you can fish. Very well done! Ale and Alexsfishin1
Ugly4Life 41
Witnessed a guy lugging what had to be a mully back across the rocks from the inner breakwater when I first started working there, and have nailed 2 decent flatties in there on plastics plus lots of trouties. Just stay out of the way of the boaties, they always have priority over fishing in all parts of the marina. Alexsfishin1
scorpion 95
Got a nice 21 lb Mully from the southern breakwater many years ago. Was having no luck on the bream, so caught a salmon trout and chucked it out at the entrance to North Haven on a single 2/0 hook, no sinker. 5 mins later my line was disappearing out to sea. The Mully eventually came back in through the entrance, with boats heading out to sea, was worried they would run in to my line, but luck was on my side, and another angler managed to gaff it for me. I was stoked, as it was my first decent Mully. :D :D The Mully was caught on the last of the run out tide. Alexsfishin1 and Ale
