solid317 2
Picked up this surf rod at a garage sale today and noticed that it said it was made for Len Butterworth. It also has a "sea knight deluxe" sticker on it. But thats all. Im not after anything special just wanted something to use for the smaller stuff. hooklinestinker 125
There is a seller on ebay with a mint condition one like this here, it looks like you've got a 'slightly used' Len Butterworth Pastime PoweRod there. There are a few hits on gumtree as well if you chuck in Len Butterworth, so you can see what you might have, or what it's worth. Cheers. Here's what a brand spanking new one looked like: archerfish and Tinker
solid317 2
Certainly looks the same sticker. Google hasn't been overly productive with this information though 😦 Pity I can't find anything else about this rod like its rating etc. Oh well I'm sure something will turn up eventually. Luke5600 61
Can't comment on the specific rod that you have but I will say that I've heard alot of good things about len butterworth rods, I think they were a prominent rod maker back in the 1970-1990's (Dates could be wrong) but I haven't heard anything recent about the companyI use a custom len butterworth alvey rod for beach sharking and its definitely made very well, a quick clean up of the rod you have and it will no doubt be a solid performer as long as the blank is in good condition
Hamo1234 172
Looks like it might be a Supa Barra. Butterworth were a prolific and decent brand. I still have one of there last graphite 4120s in mint condition. If you had that and an ABU 7000 you were doing well! reelfun

The egg beater it came with is definitely old, not an abu thats for sure. I don't know much about surf rods so no idea what rating it feels like but i know butterworth is/were really good so I grabbed it.
