Anybody know if this failed contraption is still sitting in close at Carrickalinga?

Around 6months ago I saw a survey getting passed around on social media asking for opinions on what people thought should happen with it.

Obviously I'm sure we would all like it sunk around 10km further out, be a nice little bit of structure !

Shame it's so shallow, dare say it will still get fish around it if left long enough.

Is it floating or anchored to the bottom?

Anchored/sunk I believe, but no fishing allowed anywhere around it or climbing on the structure according to a sign on it. The residents are generally very unhappy that it has not been removed, someone needs to take responsibility for it's removal

This company has made a few "green" blunders in its time:

The federal government gave them a nice grant ,only to have them stuff it up:

some nice structure underneath!! If only the money allocated for a new artificial reef in the gulf could be put into dragging this thing out wide. Kill 2 birds with one stone!!
