Crab cakes/patties

Recommended Posts

Not exactly but id go along the lines of fish cakes. In real simple terms:

  • drain & flake the meat
  • mix in a bowl with whatever flavorings you like
  • bind with egg & breadcrumbs.
  • roll into desired sized balls, flatten a little & roll in breadcrumbs.
  • Deepfry  ......shalllow fry if you must  .

Some further ideas:

As im assuming the crab meat is cooked, it  will likely require a little more egg/breadcrumbs for binding. So something like:

I dont like the idea of that much potato tho, i recon 1:4 rather than 1:1, potato:crab would be better. Plus i'd probably lean towards the more Asian spice flavorings, personal taste there.

How about Crab Linguine, kinda like Marinara but with that sweet crab meat?

Id be adding a cup of dry white wine (and reducing) to that one too.
