outandabout 373
G'day all. I know these rods have been around for years now,and I've always liked the feel of them, but never really had the need to "splurge" on one........I thought I'd finally get one and give it a go. Have seen them range in price from $140 or so,down to $100 when on special at the "larger franchise" stores. What stirred my interest, was when I saw them advertised for $80!..........awesome,or so I thought. I went for a look at them, and selected the "Bream Finesse".........7 foot 2 inch, rated at 1 to 3kg.......nice for fishing Yorkes flats for whiting I'd think. Approaching the counter, the young lady scans the barcode, and to my surprise......... Wow! Now,I'm not claiming it to be the greatest rod around, but for that sort of coin,it'll do me....... Nikhum 16
Wow thats a steal and a half! Great rods for the price I have the 4-7kg soft plastic Snapper and love it.
Tinker 1,645
The 1-4kg Bream Finesse is a great all-rounder. Matched with a 1500 Symetre, excellent reliability and action, even catching carp up to 10kg. Happy to pay the higher price if it keeps my local tackle store open. lewie 8
Just picked up two from the online sale. $97 delivered to Whyalla. Can't complain! Where to? http://www.raysoutdoors.com.au/ It comes up as $79, but when it moves to the checkout is shows up as $39. Not sure if there are any in stock in Adelaide, as it didn't give me the option to pick up from in store. Scissors
Cranky243 74
I just got the last one from Main North Rod Blair Athol area they have a Snapper one left he will do for $39 also.....the system has been fixed now though but he said he will still honour it. The one I got was the same as above 7ft 2" 1-4kg Bream and it scanned up at full sale price but he obviously marked it down more.....it was a system error now fixed. Seeseacol 381
Why do these bargains always seem to come up after I've already bought a new one ? Just goes to show the mark up retailers put on gear before sale price is marked
Dylbaa 174
The fishing industry is one of the worst for marking up products in my opinion! But then again who's the sucker? I still pay what they're asking 😂 Cranky243

The Symetre is a much nicer and better built reel than the Aird IMO.
