bjorn2fish 4,610
Anyone considering a fish over the weekend even if it's pouring down? Looks like Monday may be the windy day, rain possibly all weekend and the swell kicking up on Saturday afternoon. Tinker
archerfish 685
Seems like it's going to be ordinary weather (at best) for the next few days, b2f... Mother's Day on Sunday will probably wipe out a lot of punters, too. Might hit up the Onk Footbridge or thereabouts tomorrow for a couple of hours and see what happens. Cheers af doobie and bjorn2fish
bjorn2fish 4,610
Was considering an attempt over the weekend even if pouring down. That may turn into me staying warm inside and drinking a couple frothies doobie
archerfish 685
If you're not hard-core, there are always fishing videos/TV shows to watch (with a bevvie of your choice in hand!). It's not all bad... Cheers af doobie and bjorn2fish

doobie 5,802
Mondays are my usual main fishing day during the week, but last Monday was crap so didn't go and next Monday looks to be even crappier! Was going to try flicking some lures around the beaches this morning but with al the weed around I'm not going to bother. So will be waiting for this next big blow to finish and see what tactics I'll try. Good luck to all that are able to get out ..... and be careful once the winds start up again, bjorn2fish
piratepom 3,197
Haven't had a flick in the salt water for over a month. Might try and squeeze a LB session this evening and if all goes to plan the Tinny will get wet in the Port River tomorrow morning! doobie and bjorn2fish

portluck 117
Had a crack up in Pirie this morning. Only managed a coupla undersized KG's, but did end up with 9 squid. Just being on the water did the business anyway. A bit of a feed and some fresh bait was a bonus. doobie and bjorn2fish
doobie 5,802
I hope you are all successful with catches during this 'lull' in weather. Just watched the news weather and looks like tomorrow morning (maybe even the afternoon also) will still be good to wet a line. bjorn2fish

They gotta get their act together or i ain't playing with them either !! Yeah, seemed like perfect conditions last night too, nice big high tide with slack water right around dusk. I was flicking sp's, I reckon if I'd taken the time to get livies it might have been a different story. Tinker, doobie and bjorn2fish
doobie 5,802
Went to porties jetty. Had a few bites but nothing to serious. I went to Porties for a look (no fishing) today around 2'ish and it was quite windy from the North. I was surprised as at my place there was no wind at all. There were a reasonable amount of people fishing from the shallows to the end, but not much caught while I was there for a hour - very small tommies and gar at the end, a reef fish in the middle as well as someone using a crab net and a couple mullet in the shallows (and a tall African appearance person was taking undersized). No-one seemed to be berleying too hard considering there was a small school of salmon swimming around yesterday Tinker and bjorn2fish
bjorn2fish 4,610
I got up a tad too late so didn't do any fishing earlier and was expecting the weather to go down hill so didn't plan to head out later on. Well it got to me that the weather will be dodgy for a while so I headed out with no planning and thought I'd flick some plastics and squid jigs. I reckon I found Southie's squid spot Bwahahahaha. Already knew where it was but JEEEEZE the squid ink on a certain rock, had to be his exact spot One tentacle was all I could manage, I think I was snagged but may have just been a decent hit. Then it blew up a fair bit and I called it quits. doobie and Tinker
Tinker 1,645
Very low water levels in the Pat, but plenty of small bream to keep me entertained..... Dredging at the marina entrance on the sea side which stirred up the fish a bit, luckily not too affected by the weed like the beaches. Wind was tricky at times, but not as bad as forecast. Fished West Lakes for a couple of hours til it shut down around 8pm. bjorn2fish and doobie
doobie 5,802
I reckon I found Southie's squid spot Bwahahahaha. I was there few months ago and they were just under.. thort by now we would have mainly legal fish bjorn2fish
brenton 637
yeah Pauly, they were between 15-25cm and pretty skinny as well. After some rough weather some bigger ones might come in but as you say they are usually all size by now. cheers b bjorn2fish and pauly s
doobie 5,802
Well, the Port Noarlunga jetty has just been closed due to conditions (+ Commercial Rd closed, by playground, due to flooding) and suspect other jetties as well. Onk footbridge nearly under water ! When it calms a bit, is it snapper time Tinker and bjorn2fish
archerfish 685
Just to add to doobie's last post - some snaps taken down there earlier tonight: Cheers af Sykes, doobie, Underpants and 7 others
