Hey guys, heading to coffin bay tomorrow night for the week. just wondering if the blood worms run down there or is a gulf thing?

They run 3 mths of the year, that being 3-4 days after the new moon - June July and August

I was more worried about the fishing not so much about collecting them. I wasnt sure if it was a state wide event or localized to the gulf waters. Was hoping it wouldnt affect the fishing too much.

Reports around the Port Lincoln area have suggested the KG's have slowed and will be slow for the week coming due to the bloodworm run.

 

The area around Coffin Bay has Salmon (Gunyah Bch).

Farm Bch is better with KG's in 2-4mtrs of water and also a number of reports from Seal Corner.

The Ledge for KG's & Salmon Trout also.

Inside the Coffin Bay National Pk bay they have been getting Flathead and whiting.
