It's a pity I'm working this Sunday or I'd be trying it out down at Onkastompa! Bloody nice. I have an older 3000 CI4 plus a new 1000 CI4+. Love them.
Meppstas 5,011
Just received some new Atomic Hardz shad 40 & 50 hard body lures that I ordered last week that I picked up for $11-95 ea (normally $17-95).. haven't tried this design out on the trout yet so I'm hoping they'll suck in a trout or two.. I do have them in the Ghost gill brown (shad 40 & 50) & Muddy prawn (shad 40) models and they have worked okay.. so here's hoping these will too.. cheers Adrian 5 new Atomic Shadz 40 & 50 mid diving hard body lures.. AquaticResearch1 1,047
Picked up a 7ft 1-3kg Trion Sunday. Should be a bit softer than the current rod and help out casting small hard bodies in open water for trout in particular. Keen to give it a run soon Meppstas

archerfish 685
Dunno whether this comes strictly under the heading of "Latest Fishing Purchases", but I'll go with a fairly tenuous connection anyway! Picked up one of these when I was down at Homewares Direct today: http://www.homewaresdirect.com.au/swissmar-shucker-paddy-universal-oyster-knife.html Will be interesting to compare it to what has always been my "Go-to" (i.e. Dexter-Russell Boston S120), but the dude who designed this one has "form", as you might say: Cheers af doobie

Rod 773
Bought a couple of commercial quality knives and an iki jime spike. Victory 220mm and 250mm blades. I found it hard to get this quality locally, MBSA doesn't have much stock to choose from and couldn't find any elsewhere of brands I would seeking. The spike looks good, I had bought a hookem version but it's not straight and not really to my liking now I've tried it, this one is a chinese one but looks solid Cheers Rod Squid Inc. and dutchy

Rod 773
G'day knackers Yep online from https://www.marine-deals.com.au The knives were 33 and 34 dollars and the spike 8.50, plus 10 bucks postage. I ordered them on tuesday arvo, the knives must have been out of stock and the tracking showed them leaving from NZ (where their made), then to Melbourne and received them on friday morning. Toll, outstanding My choices were very much helped by this guy, his filleting demos and tutorials are outstanding. Also what knives I already use. I was unable to find any of the diogenes knives https://www.filletfish.com.au/info/filleting-knives Cheers Rod
