SurfcaztR 707
With the discovery that fluorocarbon leader lines are not invisible what have you guys switched to as a replacement leader line
Dylbaa 174
Still fluro... does the job for me 👍
AquaticResearch1 1,046
Really depends. Nylon in the smaller stuff, but I have question marks over its' abrasion resistance, flouro in 15lb (just a happy medium, happy with abrasion resistance but still subtle) and in 30+lb stuff I just use whatever leader material (Black Magic, Jinkai etc) Might go back to maxima ultragreen if I don't like the Nylon. Territory Lad 1,137
It's not invisible?!? isnt that one of the prime benefits of using it over say mono?
SurfcaztR 707
Invisable. No it never was.Nothing is as a leader line
Aff 121
My understanding in regards to the merits of fluorocarbon leader is that it is as close as any form of line or leader can get to the refractive index of water, thus making it virtually invisible, but not completely. Maybe the budding physicists among us can substantiate or debunk this claim. I imagine the only thing completely invisible in water is,...well...um water.
