CRABBING

Hi everyone,

Does anybody know whether I can use yabbie net which is made from nylon mesh for crabbing? Trying to save some budget from having to buy normal crab wired net....

You can get crab nets for $10 or less each if you search around. I suggest to save up. Yabbie nets are designed for yabbies unless you modify/hack them up. Not worth the effort in my opinion.

If you don't mind going for a dip then you will find a few crab nets for free.

Most tackle shops usually have a 3 for $20 sales during the crab season, well worth the investment as they will last ages if you get the ones with the wire base.

Crab nets can be picked up cheaply as the others have said.

I used the big heavy duty ones, as some areas i fish have a current. These are more expensive but when we go to ards, you can sometimes get 4 - 6 big ones at a time! The only downside is my little one can't pull them up.

Can't wait to get out and start getting them 😊
