doobie 5,802
Another good video Adrian .... and cold, very cold at that. Thought of you yesterday when watching a fisherman in Tassie on SBS catching 'wild' trout, hanging them in a tree to get 'extra' flavor before cooking them up. Looked ok but boy did he 'hack' the flesh when filleting - a bit disrespectful to the fish. Meppstas
Meppstas 4,956
Thanks doobie, it was cold alright, finger were burning, yes they're a little rough down here at times the way the y fillet them. Trout are best kept whole & put in a smoker in my books.. not that I keep them any more now days... cheers Adrian Tinker and doobie
Tinker 1,645
I remember a time up the Warren Reservoir very early morning when there were tiny icicles hanging off the braid. Also remember a time up on the houseboat my folks used to own when the shrimp pot ropes stuck to the rails on the side. And the first Cod I ever caught was at Blanchetown many years ago at 2am in the morning and freezing cold and all my mates were asleep in their tents and swags. Some of my best fishing memories are during cold weather but I must admit I am definitely a summer person.Sent from my SM-J120ZN using Tapatalk Meppstas
