yellow door 1 1,786
Depending on who you talk to - these rail mount rod holders, are rock solid straight out of the box or they need something under them to grip a 25mm rail and not slip when a big fish grabs your bait. Heres the suggestions so far Hand tighten the bolt with allen key, then whack allen key with hammer to get super tight. Some guy said put salt under there? another said rough up both surfaces with sand paper. and when it comes to grippy underlays - you've got - bike tube rubber - garden hose - Silicon hose - duct tape - grip tape - silicon tape Then you get into Tack welds and full welds Another option is self tapping screws through the rail - or drill a hole through the centre of the holder and railing, and run a long bolt through the middle. But I also found the use of a single wrap of Heavy Duty, out door, double sided tape, intriguing. doobie
