Leethal 1
3..... I use to lose a few fishing landbased, but now i have a boat I can usually get the lure back. Most lures I lose these days are too fish busting me off on structure
MrMully 0
Since the start of the year i have lost 3 HB :icon_evil: but got plenty of back ups ;D but still doesnt ez the pain of loosing the little fellas.
davidbloop 0
Well I don't own many lures but in terms of squid jigs I lose TONSI lose a minimum of 1 per trip out but most days I'll lose 3-4.
weaver 271
Not to many these days, the sling shot usually gets em out with out even going for the tackle back. Can go months with out losing one then lose a heap in one day,Last big loss was four Jackalls TN's at swanreach road trip weekend, that really hurt :'(Use to always find a lure on the river straight after i lost one, no word of a lie and usually within the next 200 metres.I like to think of it like they are sacrifices to the river gods,
Steve-Bream-Fishing 4
3) 1 every 5 outingsYeah that would be about close to it, A quick 'ping' of the line or jiggle the rod tip usually gets 'em off but I do loose one every now and then

Mr_Willy 3
I don't lose many these days either. But under the bridge where I assume MBF is losing most of his, it would be on average 1 per trip.... But a lot of the time I get them back on a later trip!!!

kayakfisher 0
I normally lose 1 or 2 a trip i reckon. Once I lose a couple my casts generally get a bit more "safe" and into more open water. One exception is at the South Para Dam. I always seem to find some lures while fishing up there and always come home with more than when I get there. Sometimes they need new trebles but that still makes a cheap lure.
coight 0
Yeah good days and bad days, when your in a comp you just gotta make the sacrifice sometimes and bust it off. I used to spew when one got snagged up, i kept mask and finz on the boat and go and get it.Average weekend prolly one.. comp day mabee 5?? and obviously plastics dont count. I've seen lots of chain types and i use a Tackleback on a cord ,also seen Strikeback lure retriever (topender and Billabong )which comes in seperate screw together sections.nd goes out te 9metres,as i fish from a canoe a telescopic device could be very usefull.Cheers peelipeeli
carps 1
i will post a photo but it looks the same as a todem tenis pole about the same length to but opens up to about 4 meters the lure retreaving bit is the same as the screw sooking thing the tennis ball normally spins on if ya get my drift
