SandyWhiting 0
Not sure if its everyone's cup of tea but I Love sushi, so I had a go at making my own home made ones..Used Grated carrot, avocado , smoked salmon and tuna..Not all in the one roll of course, one roll avocado and smoked salmon, another grated carrot and tuna, and of course the rice...Mix and matched some, and they Turned out Yummers, sprinkled with a bit of Soy sauce....Defiantly do it again.. Ranger 48
EddieV wrote:Can i ask where you purchase the wrapping from? I have thought of making some myself but havent looked into it that much. It's called "Nori" and it comes in packs of 10 sheets. You can get it in the Asian section of nearly all supermarkets these days.
eddo78 0
Not only can you get the nori sheets, but you can also get he bamboo rolling mat and all the other things you need (short grain rice, mirin, jap mayo) at most larger supermarkets. I make it quite regularly. With a bit of practice it gets easier...I love the stuff.
