Mick013 2
i think there is a fishing report in the york peninsula section thats pretty recent and the jetty features in there somewhere...i think
khany454 0
i was there late friday nite and saturday mornin, didnt go crabbin but the old lady near us was gettin a few, not heaps but if you put in the time you would bag out.tried a bit of general purpose jetty fishin and squiding, didnt even get a sniff, tried about 15 differnt jags including a tommy on a stick and no squid either, didnt see anyone else pull any in while i was there either.after a while i ventured up further, about where the shed/office lookin thing is with some heavier gear to go for the snapper that are meant to be there, was using a black magic snapper rig with fresh squid, nothing, then tommy fillets, and finally pillies still nothing. if they were there they just werent interested.thats just how i went on the weekend, knowing my luck 10 mins after i left they probably came on the bite again!hope everything goes well for you though! EddieV 0
I think your friend is on the money with his squid comments. Crabs are generally better from the deeper water towards the end of the jetty as for the kingys and bronzies you have to be in it to win it!
Del 245
i landed 4 crabs into my yak... simply using my snapper outfit.. lol they wouldnt let go of my pilly!last thing you want on your lap.. is blue crabs when your in a yak!!! hahahha chucked the blighters back.. some some bigguns too! james1396235464 0
Hey,I fish the jetty a bit never do well on the bronzies they mainly seem to be round at rileys. The kings usually arrive when the weather warms up, was there the other week and didn't see any so might be a bit early but its definitely worth a try.
rangfish 1
Ive only got undersized crabs from there one or two legal. Ive heard of snapper but never got any. the only thing ive caught from the jetty is small tommies.

Gelboy 0
Gday FSW, Fished Rileys last week, too bloody calm for snapper but youre better off putting a jag under a float and fishing for squid at Rileys always get them there as well as big cutleys.S

In the real shallow parts you can also get the odd KGW or YFW.. the wallaroo jetty can get real windy, so if its too bad the marina is always worth a try as its more sheltered, some mullies have been pulled from there too
