A Lures Addicts latest Additions

Recommended Posts

With the up coming SA Bream Classic close at hand I decided a few more lures were needed (as if I needed any excuses)Did the rounds of the more productive lure stocking tackle shops and acquired a few new ones that I haven?t seen before.Damiki Craft International MU: 45mm long, 4.5g in weightPosted ImageThe pink packeted one is fitted with very light gauge singles, so I assume it would be classed as a Area Trout lure, the singles have been chucked and some Owner?s have been fitted.Going by the ?SP? on the label of the Yellow pack I assume stands for Suspending.Going by the size of the bib I would hazard a guess that dive to around the 1m markAlso decided to try something different when I noticed some Baby (Octopus) Jigging lures. With a weight of 11g and as you can see a small profile I hope it might encourage the deep water Bream to have a sniff and a taste.Fitted with two (approx) size 4 gold plated ?assist? Jig hooks that are so dam sharp there sticky {SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gifPosted ImageFinally found a shop that has got the new Bass-X colours and do they look great, so good in fact that all bar one of the colours they had on stock ended up in the shopping bag.Posted ImageAlso added some more Vibs to my collection with three Strike Pro Micro Vibe, at 25mm and fitted with fine wire Owners I hope they will do there fair share of work and tempt the bream. The rumour has it that this lure has action on the drop with a fluter action whilst descending.Just hope that at 25mm they don?t gut hook the fish. The top lure is a R2S Babe Vib 35 for comparison Posted ImageHave been having so much fun with surface lures for bream that some more were added to the collection.Tiemco TT Pencil 40mm long and 2g in weightPosted ImageTiemco Red Pepper Micro60mm and 3.5gPosted ImagePosted ImageHad to add a outsider to the surface lures a Daiwa Cicada Pencil as it looks like a nice bream jelly bean.Posted ImageOnly problem know I need a few hours sorting them into the collection {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif

Ray & Anne's always have a healthy stock of bream lure sized Owners. For the larger trebles (size 4's and above), I tend to get them from what used to be Tackleworld at O'Halloran Hill - apologies, dunno what the store's called now, I'm sure southerners will know.. {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif I'm sure STW will have them too if you live out that way. {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gifFair dinkum Buff, you're a crack up! {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif Cheers,Wino

@ Cliff As Wino and Ranger has suggested these shops do carry Owners with most of the Lure "savvy" stores having a good selection.I did drop into Anaconda and they are stocking a complete range down to size 20 but like most of the stuff they stock it ain't cheep unless there is a 20% sale then there closer to what most of the tackle shops are selling them for {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif@ Goat Herder (aka:Wino)Posted ImagePosted Image@ Gaffer Have worked out that the Hobie will tow behind the boat nicely Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Purchased some newbies myself last week. No idea what they are or how good they're gonna be, but supposedly highly reccommended and look similar to some hereabouts. @ buff - dont show gaffer that ghost ayu chubby I think he has been trying to track some down for a while!

Ever since he put up the post about them I have been on the hunt for one :icon_e_surprised: :icon_e_biggrin:

With an up and coming trip to PT Augusta with a few fellow crazy kayaker’s looking to chase some Kingies I decided that at the speed (or lack of) trolling a lure behind the yak "just in case" might be a good idea but with no Big lures in my collection this needed to be rectified ZipBait Z System Minnow 11cm floatingPosted ImageRapala SXR-12, Suspending X-Rap 12cm in Blue SardinePosted ImageJackall DD Smash Minnow, 10cm Suspending in Half Mirror WakasagiPosted ImageJackson Qu-on Katana, 13cm Suspending in ShaddoPosted ImageJackson Qu-on Katana, 13cm Suspending in KinkuroPosted ImageDuel Aile Surface Lure, 10.5cmPosted ImageUndersidePosted ImageDecided to add a nice Orbit 65 Slider, 6.5cm suspending to get some live bait with.Posted ImageAdded a few larger plastics to the shopping cart in case I get a chance to throw some SP’s at a snapper or two.I know, I’m a tragic case :icon_cry: :icon_e_confused: :icon_e_biggrin:

They are kokoda's Brooksey not Jackalls as I belive that the jackalls are around 30 bucks each??

Correct M_C :icon_e_wink: Jackalls are about the 30 mark, these are a cheap imitation which makes them perfect for chucking them amongst the snags, better to loose a $5 lure than a $30 :icon_e_biggrin:As for were I got 'em, I wont post up the store as I don't wish to detract any business from the forums fine sponsors :icon_e_biggrin: I can PM it to ya

Had too much time on my hands over the last few days so a few more lures got added to the collection.Got a phone call from Fisherman's Paradise letting me know that the ZipBait Metal Beat Vibs had hit there shelves.1.7g and 30mm should be a nice mouth full for a bream. Ecogear VX35 for comparisonPosted ImageDoesn't show up but the top one is SilverPassed through a sport/adventure store at Mile End today just to waste some time not really intending to buy anything (there just too expensive) and nearly fell over when I did find a couple of bargains.Yo-zuri Area Fish and a Chum Crank (sx40 for comparison)Posted ImageAlso a Daiwa TD Crank that must have been mislabelled as it was half the price of the rest of the ones in the rack :icon_e_surprised:Posted ImageThink I'll have to start getting myself Baned from shops that sell these Sexy Shiny things :icon_lol:
