Dubs The Tackle Man 0
Seen this on the news a while back, crazy how they swim the baits out and within minutes sometimes the bait has been hit them blokes have some balls. You can use a hook bigger than a 12/0 but with wire restrictions you cant go over so thick wire not sure on exact measurements

chuckemback 0
oops didnt read that propely ....i believe the wire restrictions came in the same time the great whites were becoming protected in Australian waters.so by reducing the thickness of the wire, you can still fish for other sharks. They believe a white would bight through the less than 2mm wire.not sure but thats wot i think! southslide 0
ahh im happy with 2mm wire, not too much is gunna bight through thatif anyone has had a bite off on 2mm i wana hear about it!!
chuckemback 0
yea but im not sure if law is including the plastic coating on some wire traces though. 450lb rated wire coated is more than 2mm in some brands.
