coonta kinta 1
Fished out of a mercruiser powered stern drive model in some average conditions and loved it!I think the merc is 3.3 litres and rated at 135hp. With 4 of us aboard and our gear it seemed to do well in the slop, but this probably doesnt answer your question.

westoz 7
Hi Wadey did you end up buying the Fish hunter, just saw one for sale here in Perth and might not have the bigger brand finish but is the right price. I've been looking for a seafarer viking but have not found the right one here in WA so considering this fish hunter but been away from south oz for a long time and don't remember this brand that well. Cheers Chris

CARL 19
Yeah I have 1 that was made before they became knows as a Fish hunter, only difference being the top deck. and it had a sterndrive on it , put on a ally pod 175 hp, fuel injected Merc. goes well. if you like a test run on my boat I'm going out for a fish this Saturday , will put new trailer under it in the next few weeks I think that previously. they were built as Savage Surveyor as used by the Marine and Harbours and Fisheries in the early days. Knockers01 0
Hi guys. I’m looking for some advice on which trim tabs to put on my fish hunter 585. Recently put a counter rotation 4 stroke on it.......... now has a list on starboard side. But that another story another day. Cheers
