    Help with Blades

Ok trip one using a blade thought I’d try the Pat . Not a good idea in winter and yes I knew that from years of going there . Besides landing bucket loads of weed what did I learn . It’s slightly like using a plastic . Now it’s tiny weighs 4 grams the weight size of a 65 mm DC so it casts well . Tomorrow all being good I’ll try around west lakes . The vibration feels strange but I’ll get used to it .

  5. I have a 'fishing chalet' at Port Moorowie. Heading there and hoping for good weather. I'll try to do 2 shifts in Edithburgh Sea Rescue Radio Room, to make up for recent unavailability due to broken leg....

  6. Heading to Victor. The house overlooks the Hindmarsh River mouth so far enough away from the town centre to have some peace. Was hoping to do some Mullet fishing but my available time has been reduced due to "social" activities Might find an opportunity for a quick flick at the Salmon. I'll head to Chiton Rocks & see if Doobies report is accurate

  7. Hopefully will crack the boat out for the first time in a while and putt around the port, outer harbor, St Kilda area enjoying what looks to be cracking conditions, any fish will be a bonus though I do suspect it will be pretty easy to at least get on the end of some STs.

  11. This is one very well used little #00 (1.5gm) Aglia spinner that I've used on the trout on & off for around four years... It's still holding together and will get some use again next season in the small tannin waters.. cheers Adrian

  13. All good here from Dinga Never any dramas from them at all! As for reels I just bought an Daiwa eliminator 8000 Spin reel for my drone fishing Setup. I'll roughly be able to get 700m of 50lb braid on it. I also purchased an Penn fathom 2 50lw which holds 600m of 50lb braid haven't used them yet but hoping to in the next couple weeks down the bottom of yorkes.. I'll be using an DJI Mavic Pro and m mate has AN 3DR solo drone. Mine can only carry 500g where his can carry 1kg no problems at all.... i'll let you know how I go if we end up going....

They are one of my favorite & most successful lures for deep water use in my boat when chasing bream & schoolies. they are very good snag detectors & i've had a few find new homes in the onka when fishing them from the bank & tend to stick to hards & softs in there these days. my most successful method of use was a good long cast but you need to just feather the last bit of the cast to make the lure lands with out tangling up i'll let the lure sink to the bottom & even let it sit there for a few second have had bream pick them up on the first cast. after a few se
