  3. nearmap is cool. I've been using it to spy on my neighbours  not really. Been looking at buying a house, very handy for that. Took me about 60 seconds then ohhhh look at that great fishing spot.
  4. Here ya go bigtime, is this what you were expecting? Now seriously... Any mullet down south? I've heard there are a few inside O'sully's breakwater near the boat ramp and pontoons.
  5. I tend to prefer my own blend personally...
  6. Well done mate! I'll be keeping an eye out on the telly for ya. Be good to see ya doco too.How could you not get good grades with the effort you're putting in.Good luck with it all.
  7. Kelvin that's the esky live bait system I was talking about just wasn't sure where I'd seen it, damn good job!Tutty, I've been looking at those aerators too, found some on the BCF website.
  8. Hey Jimbo I wouldn't mind seeing some pics if you don't mind uploading them. I've been thinking about setting up something like this recently. I've seen a few simple setups like a bucket with an aerator hung over the top and taped to the outside to an esky with tubes feeding through the sides for water inlet and outlet.Be interesting to see your setup.
  9. Great photo mate! I think that's the mully I've been dreaming of
  10. So how did everyone go?Me...Not having any experience with anything other than Bream decided ahhh bugger it let's just go down to the Port Noarlunga Jetty with my Mrs and old man and see what we catch, started at about 8am. Stayed there freezing and almost getting blown away (which is fine for fishing but not when your mrs has arthritis ) decided to go home after no bites for 2 hours.Disappointed with this we decided to go for a fish down good ol' Perry's Bend at about 8pm. My dad caught about 4 Bream just under legal 1 good size, I caught 5 under legal 1 just at 28cm. Oh yeah dad beat my PB

  15. Very cool vid. Well done to you both :clap:Might have to look into some kind of fishing camera. My phone is a little too awkward while juggling the rod and I freak out every time I take a pic thinking I'll drop it in the drink.Good luck with that 1m Mully, I think we'll all have a party when that comes along, doesn't seem like it'll be too far away :woohoo:
  16. I was down there late last night / early morning. I noticed the coppers doing a nice long lap of the car park I was thinking all sorts of mischief would go on down there. Maybe there is some truth to the story if the cops were patrolling, or do they always patrol down there...
  17. I'm looking into setting up my own online fishing tackle shop. Let me tell you if you don't have a retail shop front good luck! So far all of the well known brands won't deal with me, simply because I don't have a shop front. I'm sure there are a few exceptions (proving themselves a worthy seller) but I would say that 99% of Australian online fishing stores are also retail, so you're not hurting the local guys much at all in that case. Overseas shops, yeah they have some influence as the Aussie suppliers definitely over inflate their prices. This being said, when I finally setup my online fishi
  18. Not sure how iPhone and Android apps work but I know alot of Windows Phone 7 apps use Online maps, bing and google maps etc which are loaded dynamically not stored as far as I know. So every time you use them they would use data. Also depends how your phone gets it's GPS data. Different phones/apps get their data using different systems... Can be GPS or AGPS (Assisted GPS using data from phone networks). My dad's iPhone was cranking through his data with his AGPS app until he got a different app using standard GPS.As long as you know how your app gets its data you'll be right.
  19. The apps I've been using use data, most weather and tide apps would. Fishing diary ones might use data if there is a GPS mark you can add or if it incorporates the tide, weather etc.
  20. Found a handy simple and free weather app showing latest rain radar animation for WP7 might be handy for a few of us. Called "Rain?"There are other paid apps that would show this info but hey this is free
  21. Nice info guys, I was about to start asking Mully questions
  22. Excellent! I'm definitely going to grab myself one of those kits.Good job, let us know how they go with the fishies.
